Using the files from a recently-hacked WordPress site, I ran malware scans with ClamAV using the Malware Expert signatures and with WordFence.
Initially, WordFence reported 38 infected files, versus 33 files reported by ClamAV.
Both reported files that the other didn’t.
I sent the files that ClamAV missed to Malware Expert, and Jani added signatures for them overnight.
Now, ClamAV is reporting 41 infected files, which includes all of the files that WordFence found plus 3 more.
